My Story
My Philosophy

I sincerely believe that women deserve to go into childbirth feeling empowered, respected, and truly cared for. Birth can be an intense and emotional experience, but it can also be beautiful, serene, emboldening, and courageous. I feel inspired by how a supportive birth team can positively influence the outcome and experience throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the early postpartum period. By providing parents with the informational, emotional, and continual physical support my hope is that they will feel prepared for each step in their path as they welcome their new baby earthside, and bond with each other and their new adorable addition. I am passionately dedicated to serving women and their families with my whole heart through such a transformative journey.

Hi, I'm Meg Fulton of Rosewater Reproductive Wellness!

I was born on the Sunshine Coast and grew up just outside of Ladysmith, BC. As the eldest of three children, I vividly remember excitedly rushing to pack my dolls’ clothes into my mother’s bag in anticipation for the birth of my youngest brother, and meeting him the next day at the hospital.

After the birth of my daughter, I decided to pursue my Birth Doula certification through DONA International. Since then I have attended home/water births, unmedicated and medicated hospital births--both at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Cowichan District Hospital--and caesarean births. I feel so deeply honoured to have been present for such intimate and sacred moments in these families' lives, and my clients mean so much to me.

In 2017, more than 10 years after receiving my Level I and Level II Reiki attunements, I received my Reiki Masters Level from my maternal grandmother June Hope, who has been practicing Reiki and Reflexology for over 20 years. I am thrilled to be bringing my Reiki practice into my birth-work. I was also one of two doulas in the mid-island region  to attend the first Spinning Babies work that Mothering Touch has hosted to date. Both Reiki and Spinning Babies have become essential "tools" in my proverbial toolbox.

2018 I completed my 20hr Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teachers Training at MokSana in Victoria, and my 200hr Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga Teachers Training at OmTown in Nanaimo. I will be offering yoga classes in the Cowichan Valley--check in with me to get up-to-date info  on classes.

In September of 2018 I also began a two-year cross-training with Michelle Stroud of By the Moon as a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner. I will be adding Reflexology as a service later in 2019, and expand my Doula support to include Fertility, Postpartum, Loss and Trauma, as well as my Birth support, as I continue my studies with Michelle.

Duncan is where I call "Home" these days. I currently serve families in the Mid-Island areas of Nanaimo, Cedar, Yellowpoint, Ladysmith, Chemainus, Crofton, Duncan, Cowichan Bay, Mill Bay, Maple Bay, Cobble Hill, Shawnigan Lake, and the Malahat.
