Holistic Support for Women and their Families during their Fertility, Prenatal, Birth and Postpartum Journeys.
‘What is a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner?'
As a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner I offer emotional, informational, physical and spiritual support to women (though I also have knowledge and experience supporting men) with their reproductive health and wellness. I blend full-spectrum doula support with the hands-on techniques of Reiki and Reflexology to serve my clients to my fullest capacity.
What can this look like?
I offer Reflexology and Reiki Sessions for individuals who are in the process of trying to conceive. I am able to help my clients better understand their reproductive health, fertility, and cycles. "Trying" can be a rollercoaster of emotions, it can take months or years; for some families the process is fairly quick and happens naturally, but for others it can be a long journey, include medical tests and procedures, and fertility treatments, and losses. During this time I am an emotional support person; I assist in navigating and processing whatever my clients' journeys look like in a non-bias and nurturing way.
What can support look like after conception?
I also offer Reiki and Reflexology prenatally. Both of these modalities can help with the physical and emotional changes that can manifest during pregnancies, and be deeply relaxing. I can offer guidance with Spinning Babies techniques to promote optimal fetal positioning, and teach Prenatal Yoga. As a doula I am a trained, professional birth attendant who provides continual emotional, physical and informational support throughout labour to the birthing woman and her partner. I assists in providing comfort-measures such as Reflexology, Reiki, massage, counter-pressures, and breathing techniques. I can offer reassurance and knowledge during the third trimester, be both soothing and encouraging during the course of the labour, and assist with breastfeeding during the early postpartum period, as needed. I work with the care-provider, whether Midwife or Obstetrician, and am comfortable attending births at home or in a hospital. I am a non-judgemental presence, whose interest lies in ensuring the transition into parenthood is remembered for years to come as a special moment in the family members’ lives.
